Piedmont hosts a variety of markets that showcase the region's diverse offerings. From bustling city markets to charming village stalls, you'll find an array of delights. Turin's Porta Palazzo Market, one of Europe's largest, offers fresh produce, gourmet foods, and vibrant ambiance. Alba's truffle markets celebrate the famed delicacy. Asti's markets feature local wines and crafts. Additionally, smaller towns like Barolo and Nizza Monferrato host antique and vintage markets.

Looking for a great bargain and a unique selection of Italian antiques and fleas, then you should definitely visit the vintage, antique and flea markets of Piedmont. Along with their typical market days, there is also a great variety of authentic vintage and flea markets.

Vintage & Antique markets

  1. TURIN: 2nd Sunday of the month from 8.00 - 18.00.
    The Gran Balôn flea market at Porta Palazzo in Turin, is a bustling treasure trove of vintage finds and unique curiosities. You will find a lively atmosphere with over 300 stalls, 50 shops, bars and historic restaurants, the market showcases an eclectic mix of antiques, collectibles, clothing, and artisan crafts. Held on the second Saturday of every month, it's a must-visit destination for those seeking one-of-a-kind items and a glimpse into the region's rich cultural heritage.
    Every Saturday there is also the Balon del Sabato from 07.00 - 18.00
    The Great Balon in Turin is the greatest flea market in Europe.
  2. NIZZA MONFERRATO: 3rd Sunday of the month from 8.00 - 18.00.
    The vintage market in Nizza Monferrato, is a charming rendezvous for enthusiasts of all things retro and classic. This market offers a delightful assortment of vintage goods, from clothing and accessories to collectibles and décor. Amid the picturesque surroundings of Nizza Monferrato, visitors can explore a curated selection of timeless treasures, making it a nostalgic haven for those seeking a touch of the past.
  3. ASTI: 4th Sunday of the month. Antique and used object market.
    The Asti Antique Market takes place in Piazza Alfieri, Piazza Libertà e Via Garibaldi.
  4. CHERASCO: Giant antique market with more than 600 stalls spred out of the streets of the town. Here you will find a wide selection of vintage clothing and furniture and any kind of peculiar collectibles. Open from 7am-6pm.
    Dates in 2024: 24 march, 5 may, 2 June, 1 September, 6 October, 1 December.

  5. MILAN: Every Saturday there are 2 markets to visit: The second hand fashion market with pre-collections along Viale Papiniano (west part of Milan), or if you rather prefer vintage clothes, then visit the East Market Milano with more than 300 stalls of vintage clothing.

    Wednesday morning there is the Piazzale Martini market in Calvairate (east side of Milan) with the chance of great vintage bargains.

    In the South part of Milan, along the Darsena channel, you will find the local fleamarket Fiera di Sinigaglia held every Saturday. The last Sunday of the month it expands in to a large antique fair with around 400 professional stalls that stretch out for 2 kilometers.

    The Saturday market in Alba
    is quite large and its opening hours are from 6:30 am to 2 pm.

Other markets

  1. TURIN: Porta Palazzo Market: Open daily 7.00 - 14.00 / Saturday 7.00 - 19.00, Sunday closed.
    This is one of Europe's largest markets, offering a diverse range of fresh produce, cheeses, meats, spices, and more.
  2. ALBA: International Alba white truffle fair is held this year from October 12th - December 8th. 2024. This is the truffle world market you don't want to miss if you want to experience the main showcases of haute gastronomy and Italian excellence.
